Selena Gomez just revealed the title to her upcoming third studio album with her band the Scene, “Otherside.” And apparently on the “Otherside” are some very famous friends.
For Selena Gomez & the Scene’s third effort, her first since last year’s “A Year Without Rain,” she’s enlisted the help of pop superstars Britney Spears and Katy Perry, among others. Spears co-wrote the track “Whiplash,” which Gomez recorded for her new LP.
“I heard it and thought it was so cool, and it was different, and I didn't actually find out `til later that she had co-wrote it,” Gomez told Postmedia News about the Britney track.
Katy Perry also contributes a song, reportedly titled “That’s How I Like It.” It’s not her first appearance on a Gomez album. She wrote the track “Rock God” which appeared on Gomez’s “A Year Without Rain.”
Along with superstar producers Dr. Luke, Rock Mafia, and Kevin Rudolf, who helmed her hit “Round & Round,” she also scored a song co-written by Pixie Lott, titled “We Own the Night.”
Selena Gomez & the Scene’s new album “Otherside,” featuring the hit single “Who Says,” is set to be released on June 28th. The band will kick off a tour on July 24th, which is set to hit 25 cities around the country.
