Bieber Fever takes over summer camp

Roanoke County in Virginia has been offering pop culture-related camps this summer, including a Justin Bieber-themed day camp, officials say.

Nine young girls lived out their Bieber fever fantasies at a day camp at Roanoke County's Green Ridge Recreation Center last week, The Roanoke Times reported.

"I really have Bieber fever. One of my friends had to hold me down because I was going to kiss the TV when he was on," said Corbin Wilson, 8, a soon-to-be third-grader

For $75 each, the girls spent five mornings going through Justin Bieber trivia and choreography, and even played pin-the-lips-on-the-Bieber. The girl whose sticker was closest to the lips on a cardboard cutout of Justin Bieber, got to plant a real kiss on the lips.

"My husband was like, 'You paid money for that?'" recounted Jodi Poff, principal of Cave Spring Elementary School and a mother to a Bieber Fever camp attendee.

The Roanoke County Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department is also offering camps based on the TV shows "CSI" and "Glee," the "Harry Potter" books and movies series, and American Girl dolls this summer.

"We try to have something for every age, every week ... to touch as many [interests] as possible," recreation program manager Mandi Smith said.
