Christina Aguilera and Selena Gomez are leading the list of ALMA Award nominees, which honor the accomplishments of Latinos in the entertainment industry.
Aguilera has received nominations for favorite movie actress in a comedy or musical (for Burlesque), for reality TV personality (for The Voice) and for favorite music artist, while Gomez has been tipped for favorite movie actress in a comedy or musical (for Monte Carlo) and favorite TV actress in a comedy (for Wizards of Waverly Place), as well as for favorite music artist.
Other notable nominees announced by the Council for La Raza include Eva Mendez, Antonio Banderas, Jessica Alba, Cameron Diaz, George Lopez and Shakira, as well as Jennifer Lopez and Naya Rivera of Glee, who have received two nominations each.
The awards ceremony—which will be hosted by George Lopez and Eva Longoria—will air on September 16 on NBC.
