Tempe fans are waiting for the return of American Idol next year, but the contestants from season 10 are still hard at work on their debut albums. The runner up to this year's winner, Lauren Alaina, has now revealed more about her upcoming album. MJ's Big Blog reported on this latest news on Wednesday. Lauren has shared that one of her own co-written songs has made the cut. It will appear on the album. Check out more of what she had to say here.
The title of the song Lauren Alaina helped co-write for her album is titled The Funny Thing About Love, and it was written with Brett James and Luke Laird. She says it is an upbeat tune that 'everyone can relate to.' Lauren Alaina was writing her own songs before American Idol, but at sixteen it is still quite the accomplishment to have her own material used on her debut release. Alaina is hoping for a fall release like many of the others in the top 11.
In additional news, Jennifer Lopez and a deal for her to return to the judge's table in season 11 is imminent. A deal could be signed this week. Lopez has made more news about her personal life lately with the announcement last week that she and her husband Marc Anthony are divorcing.
