Star Puts House On Market

Country cutie Taylor Swift pulled a "swift" one on the Nashville real estate market, listing her home less than a year after being handed the keys. The surprising listing comes after she purchased the home several months ago for $1.4M. If you're interested, the asking price now is a cool $1.45 million.

Country superstar Taylor Swift, 21, has pulled what many in the real estate market call a flip. She purchased a home several months ago, and has since put that home back on the market. No details have been given as to why the singer/songwriter has decided to release herself of one of her residences, but it could be because she just recently purchased a luxurious pad in Beverly Hills worth $3.35 million.

Multiple music award winner Swift may only be 21, but she certainly knows how to invest her cash wisely. She has bought several prime pieces of real estate in the past several years, including a penthouse in central Nashville and a stunning Beverly Hills home.

The Nashville home that is up for sale is small by celebrity standards. The gorgeous music perch is a 4-bed, 4.5-bath, 4,949-square-foot Tudor-style home. Reportedly built in 1925, some of its amenities include a library, wood-burning fireplace and a palatial outdoor entertainment area.

The estate also features several gardens, a water fountain and an outdoor fireplace, perfect for writing songs when the inspiration strikes.

Inside, the home boasts hardwood floors, wood paneling, marble flooring and molded ceilings.

This is a long way for Swift, who comes from humble beginnings in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Her mother was a homemaker and her father, a stockbroker. She and younger brother Austin lived a normal middle-class childhood, until Taylor caught the music bug. An intense pre-teen, she began writing songs at age 12, using them as an outlet for not fitting in at school. She began performing in local contests until she realized she should head to Nashville to pursue her dream of being a country singer/songwriter. Her tenacity paid off and after months of knocking on record company doors with a CD in her hand, she was eventually signed to a record deal. Within weeks of the release of her first single, Tim McGraw, Swift had her feet firmly planted on the road to stardom.
