It looks like Selena Gomez fancies herself as the new Ashton Kutcher.

The Disney kid dressed up as a giant packet of bubblegum as part of a practical joke on one of her fans for new TV show PrankStars.

Singing sensation Selena disguised herself further with horrendous geeky glasses, a trilby hat and dowdy clothes.

The 18-year-old was hilarious as she danced around before taking a tumble for the staged advert.

As part of the prank the advert’s fake producer blew a gasket at Selena's fan Mary because of their useless performances.

After some amusing byplay the Wizards of Waverly Place star eventually revealed her true identity and put her fan out of her misery.

Selena, who is dating teen idol Justin Bieber, said: ‘Mary was such a good sport.

'She was so nice so it was really hard for me to keep up the act when Kara was being so mean to her.

‘It was very fun to prank her and I think she did a very good job.’

PrankStars features a host of stars who play tricks on their adoring fans for laughs.

The hidden camera show has just started on the Disney Channel and is hosted by Hannah Montana star Mitchel Musso.

Children and teenagers set up by their friends and family to meet their favorite stars in unpredictable and humorous’ settings.

Alongside Selena, Jessie star Debby Ryan also appeared premiere episode.

The singer was in London earlier this month to promote her band Selena and The Scene ahead of a seven-week tour.

She told Billboard.com: 'We're dividing it into four sections. We're going to have wardrobe changes.

'There's going to be dancers - I will not be dancing most of the time.

'They'll just be back there getting the crowd pumped up.

'We're going to have fun screens in the background.

'It's just going to be a huge party. I wanted to make it like a PG-13 rave!’
