No one can ever call Selena Gomez a chicken. For some people, thrill rides at the fair are a given--it's why they go. For others, not so much. Selena obviously falls into the first category and she even rode a human slingshot ride as proof.
According to Hollywood Life, Selena was performing at the Oregon State Fair over Labor Day weekend. Prior to her performance, she opted to partake of some of the fair's wares. First up? The Slingshot.
Some wonder if Selena Gomez was taking too much of a risk by checking out this ride when she had a show to do later that day. Most likely she viewed the risk the way most 19-year-old fair-goers would. If it looks fun, do it!
For those who don't care for speed, tumultuous flips and flops and heights, the Slingshot probably isn't the ride for you. If you get a big queasy when riding on amusements like the tried and true Teacups, stay away from the Slingshot!
Selena Gomez was a trooper and seemed undaunted by the ride. In fact, she seemed to have a ball. And that's probably a really good thing. All work and no play can make Selena--well, you know. And since boyfriend Justin Bieber wasn't in Oregon while she was there (he was actually up in Canada having a visit with his Gram and Gramps)--well, a girl needs to amuse herself somehow, right?
Fortunately all's well that ends well, and Selena Gomez's Slingshot adventure ended with laughs and lots of fans capturing the thrill ride on their cell phones. In fact, you can see the Slingshot in action here.
