Taylor Swift joins the ranks of celebrities like Beyonce, Fergie, and Sammi Sweetheart with her new perfume, Wonderstruck.
“Wonderstruck smells like the warm spicy tones of perfumes. I really like things that smell like vanilla and caramel notes,” says Swift in a promotional video for the scent. “In making this perfume it was such an amazing process in picking the things that I liked. Berries smell nice - let’s put more of them in there!”
“I think you can tell a story in song, you can tell a story through movies, you can tell a story through writing. You can kind of tell a story that connects memories together when you’re creating a perfume that people are going to wear in their day to day lives,” she says, comparing the making of perfume to writing a song. “I’d never made notes like that before.”
Swift has released a teaser commercial for the fragrance, featured below. The teaser screams enchantment, with Swift gliding through a mansion in a gorgeous ruffled gown. Beautiful antique chandeliers and architecture flash across the screen. PopCrush calls it “a fairy tale unfolding on screen.”
